Am I the first person to become a member of the new tracks forum? Can't wait for the place to open and just want to say "thanks so much" to George for doing a good thing.

Sorry, Troyerfan6 was number one! Number two is pretty good tho'. Things are pretty hectic at this stage, but thanks for joining. We'll be doing our best to keep everyone informed in the track's progress. Again, thank you for your support.

Thank you for building this track and bringing racing back to Owego,NY!
The area is in desperate need for this after losing the original in 2005 and Chemung speedrome just is not the same and is a much longer drive. My dad started taking me to Shangrila in the golden days of the late 60s and early 70s. Watching Richie,Maynard.Geoff,Jerry and Jimmy throughout the years are memories that cannot be forgotten!

For someone in this economy to make this commitment is outstanding and really hard to believe. Hope for nothing but sucess. High quaility is utmost in the facility, food and the racing. Word of mouth will be the key to packing the place weekly. What an opportunity to get it right you have.
Can't wait.

can't wait

Absolutely can't wait to see this place in action. Truly a great thing to see coming in to the area. If any residents within ear-shot of this place complain, they need to be thwacked with a hammer. Losing the 1st Shangri-La was the worst thing to happen to Owego. It's the only thing the little town had that set it apart from every other little area town and brought people in from all over the state (and other parts of the NorthEast).

Kudos to the man George, a real racer's racer!

On 17 you will take the second Owego exit and go west on 17c. It's about 4 miles outside of Owego (starting at Royal Ford in Owego) on the right hand side. You will see a sign for Skyview Drags at the bottom of the hill. Can't miss it.

When you have a Whelen Tour race or an ROC race, I'll have my car packed and ready to head north from Long Island.

Good luck with the track.
